A Message from the Premier, The Honourable Scott Moe
On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, I would like to acknowledge the important work of the Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Network in increasing awareness of French as a second language.
Saskatchewan is proud to be an open and inclusive, multicultural society. Our government recognizes that bilingualism is a fundamental aspect of our common heritage as Canadians. Saskatchewan’s Francophone community is a vital segment of our society and a valued component of our nation’s linguistic duality.
As our world becomes more diverse and intertwined, knowing a second language will always be important. I encourage

A Message from the Minister of Education, The Honourable Dustin Duncan
The Government of Saskatchewan recognizes the importance of French-Second-Language and how it enhances students’ education, linguistic skills and cultural knowledge.
As Minister of Education, it is my great pleasure to recognize the work of Saskatchewan’s teachers who promote French-Second Language opportunities to students, families and communities.
I was pleased to proclaim French-Second-Language Week from February 7 to 11, 2022. The success of the two virtual events, as well as the popular oratory contest speaks to the important work of your organization. The Ministry of Education works with French speaking educators and others to develop curricula and learning support documents to ensure that students are prepared for their future.
The Government of Saskatchewan appreciates the longstanding commitment of Canadian Parents for French – Saskatchewan and the important work your organization does to support French language education in our great province.
I commend you and your organization for continuing to support schools, students and teachers through a variety of programs and activities that ensure French-Second-Language instruction continues to be offered and recognized.

Message from Ms. Alena Young
« Le Canada est un pays bilingue et la langue française et la culture française y sont parties intégrantes. J’ai grandi dans une communauté francophone, mais après déménager et ne pas maintenir mon français je l’ai quasiment perdu, à ma grande déception. Ne soyez pas comme moi! Profitez du français et apprenez à parler, lire et écrire! »
